ICF buildings, as a result of the use of efficient insulating EPS material, provide an inherently high level of thermal resistance.
With building regulations getting stricter the ICF method of build is becoming more and more common due to their thermal efficiency. There have been many updates to the building codes in the UK which have reduced the U-value limits for building e.g. decrease of the u-value for walls from 1.7 in 1965 to 0.35 w/m²k in the latest amendment in 2016.
